The organizations I've worked with in this space each brought a fundamentally different set of demands. Academic institutions like ECE at U of T are not selling a product, they are selling a future, which means their digital presence needs to attract prospective students, answer the right questions, and move them toward inquiry. Nonprofits working with Copywriting Creatives needed something different: websites and tools that made it easier for causes to raise awareness and for their teams to spend less time on administration and more time on the work that matters. At Fix It In Post, the projects sat outside conventional production processes entirely: niche, non-standard work that required stepping outside the industry's default ways of doing things and building solutions that hadn't been done before.

The University of Toronto's ECE Department needed someone who they could trust to help rebuild the full digital lifecycle. For the first 7 months, I had worked across the public website and intranet, handling content updates and WordPress/CMS management, building enough institutional knowledge to be trusted with something larger. In December 2024, that trust translated into a direct mandate: rebuild multiple core pages, deliver new page builds, and give one of Canada's most respected engineering departments a functional and aesthetic facelift.

Students were ignoring the homepage rather than navigating through it; it was a missed recruitment opportunity. this included content updates and a full homepage redesign, shipped alongside multiple internal pages designed to convert the traffic it would receive.

In 2021, I co-founded JKR Business Consultancy to take on problems that needed both a diagnosis and a delivery. The work has spanned industries, but what has stayed consistent is the depth each context required.
In healthcare, the problem was never the service itself; it was understanding how patients chose a clinic, how they became aware of closer locations, and how post-visit outreach brought them back. In industrial manufacturing, it was designing a sales workflow, then ensuring the financial documentation behind it was clean enough to hold up for accounting, tax compliance, and payment. In fintech SaaS, it meant building a testing tool, which required understanding the software it was testing and the customer trying to implement it. In K–12 e-learning, it was meeting WCAG requirements and raising the UI quality standard ahead of a funding round.
Outside of JKR, I've taken on independent projects where the same principle applies: own the problem, build the solution, stay until it works.
Audited WCAG violations across core app screens and produced technical documentation to bring a non-compliant product to conformance ahead of a funding round.

Generative AI arrived in the creative industry with most studios left reacting to its disruption. Fix It In Post Studios chose to build services centered around generative AI, and I designed the responsible adoption framework that made that possible, validated through a pilot that turned an experimental workflow into a structured, billable service.
